VACATION IN SANTA FE 2000

Welcome graphic

Chris and I took this trip in her Zoom Zoom.  Her Mother and Lady Friend made the trip with us but in Mother-in-Law's car.  No way four people could fit in that Firebird for that long a trip.  I love Santa Fe.  It is the second oldest city in the USA and is full of rich Spanish culture.  Santa Fe has become a really big art center and there is a lot to see there.

A Sidewalk Pepper vendor. They sell large peppers tied together in a long string. Very "New Mexico."

Santa Fe was so crowded and expensive while we were there that we actually stayed in Espenola, a town about 25 miles north.  The highway between the towns was four lanes and an easy drive.  The prices were about half.  (Plus, there were two casinos in between!)

Very Old Catholic Church

This is the old church with the spiral staircase which was built by a mysterious ininerent carpenter.  It purportedly has no nails or screws in it's construction and was built in a very short time.  Considered to possibly be a Miracle.
